IOP (Intensive Outpatient)
12 hours a week

Intensive Outpatient services give teens a smaller taste of the same quality program our Day Treatment offers. This allows for deeper integration and greater success as teens transition into their new life. They are given the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing and exciting view of what they are capable of achieving through our comprehensive case management and life skills program. We support and encourage them every step of the way!

Accredited Schooling Program
12 hours a week

James Mason Centers for Recovery offers a fully accredited schooling program where your child is given the opportunity to catch up on credits that may be holding them back. While at JMCR they receive the help they need to return to school and take on their life in a new and empowered way. Under most circumstances we can enroll your student and match their credits anytime of the year. There is no need to wait for the quarter/semester break in order to protect their current credits. JMCR’s scholastic team has over 20 years of experience in assisting struggling adolescents with academic recovery. Together, we join to set your student back on the path to educational success.

Because our classes are small (never more than 10 students per teacher) each student has the potential of making greater academic strides in a shorter amount of time than they may have in a less personalized setting.

Your child can earn .25 credits per quarter in the following courses:

• Mathematics – Basic Math, Secondary I & II, Geometry, Algebra II
• Language Arts – 9-12, Reading
• Social Studies – Geography, US & World History
• Sciences – Physical Science, Biology

They may also accumulate up to 4 course credits (.25 per quarter) in the following areas due to participation in our program:

• Physical Education
• Group Interaction
• Psychology
• Adult Roles

We prepare your child to return to their school with the ability to confidently meet the challenges that may have overwhelmed them in the past.

• We strive to allow our students to reconnect with their love of learning
• We understand that there are individual learning styles and we accommodate your child in a way that is respectful, while building social and academic confidence
• We maximize upon ”outside the box” learning opportunities, and use them to develop an intrinsic desire to achieve more
• We offer a safe and physically comfortable environment to promote growth and curiosity
• Our students are empowered with relevant social skills and experiences which facilitate healthy peer interactions while in the program.

Virtual Services

At James Mason Centers for Recovery, all of our services can be offered virtually through telephone or video conferencing. Telehealth can be a more convenient option for teens and their families, and often makes discussing issues more comfortable. Our team of staff have found creative ways for every teen to feel included and engaged. If you are interested in telehealth and have any questions about practicalities, please contact us.

“If mental and emotional issues can be addressed early enough, the results can be phenomenal and enduring. We can potentially spare the child and family years of suffering if these unhealthy patterns are interrupted and not transferred into adulthood.”

—Trisa McBride CEO & President
